I'm a public school teacher, so we have that summer break baked into our year to conquer burn-out. I wish that other professions had this too.

That would be a game changer! We see so much benefit in 'more rest' approach -- both for productivity and mental well-being. I would vote for 4-day work weeks, an extra regular/seasonal week-off, and a longer annual vacation.

I’d argue with WHO that burnout is a strictly workplace-related phenomenon. Some professionals agree there is also ‘emotional burnout’ and ‘caregiver burnout’. I’ve experienced a classical work-related burnout and something similar to that twice in different settings: 1) staying at home with 3 young kids as a work-from-home and homeschooling mom during Covid; and 2) visiting my hometown (Sevastopol, Crimea) back in 2021, which turned into an extremely toxic place for me due to personal and political reasons.
